Resume
I'm a multidisciplinary designer with foundations in human-centred design, service design, and strategy. I bring strong business acumen and a systems thinking perspective to both short-term strategic projects and longer transformation programmes.
I enjoy working hands-on across the full project lifecycle - comfortable owning projects while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams and mentoring others along the way. I have 7 years of experience across multiple sectors, including consulting, financial services, research and development, NGOs, and government sectors.
Experience
-
January 2022 - February 2025
I worked on a diverse range of projects across the public and private sectors to design strategies, experiences and services. Industries include government, transport, financial services, member services, tertiary education, and industrial supply.
As a consultant, I facilitated alignment across diverse stakeholders, serving as translator, strategic sparring partner, and negotiator to drive clarity and executable direction. I led cross-functional design teams through complex transformation initiatives, developed junior talent through targeted coaching, and cultivated strong client partnerships while confidently navigating politically sensitive, multi-stakeholder environments.
-
June 2020 - September 2021
As part of my Master of Design, I led a strategic design project embedded within a live programme, exploring how speculative design and emerging approaches can support sustainability transitions in science research.
I researched design approaches and facilitated workshops on the future of ‘Alternative Proteins,’ highlighting their potential to drive innovation in New Zealand’s Agri-food sector. This work culminated in a prototype toolkit to support scenario planning and strategic thinking, helping the organisation envision and prepare for potential futures through design-led approaches.
-
November 2019 - February 2020
Through a series of workshops, I captured and translated the complex concepts of ‘transition’ and ‘transformation’ across multiple scientific disciplines through a human-centred approach.
I collaborated with scientists from various disciplines to co-define and co-develop a visual narrative to communicate a shared understanding of the two concepts to encourage alignment across the organisation.
-
January 2019 - January 2020
I provided graphic design expertise to help shape and maintain visual identities across diverse sectors, including a popular café, a scenic railway, a prominent music festival, and an agricultural research organisation.
I produced a range of design assets aligned with new and existing brand guidelines, ensuring consistency while bringing each client’s vision to life. This work enabled clients to connect more effectively with their audiences and strengthen their brand presence.
-
April 2019
During my internship with Open Lab, I used graphic design to bring environmental health data to life. I created icons, infographics, and fact sheet templates that transformed detailed information into clear, engaging visuals.
A key part of my work was developing a scalable visual design system to ensure consistency and flexibility across all communications. This helped Environmental Health Indicators New Zealand (EHINZ) effectively share vital public health insights and better connect with their audience.
-
January 2016 - December 2018
I contributed to designing and producing print collateral, creating social media content, and supporting campaign activities for the Net Zero Act. My work helped translate complex climate messages into clear, engaging visuals that connected with diverse audiences.
Being part of this campaign, I played a role in building the awareness and support that led to the Act’s successful passage in New Zealand’s Parliament in November 2019.
Education
-
Completed in September 2021 at Massey University, New Zealand in partnership with Toi Āria and AgResearch
I led an industry-funded research project, exploring how design approaches in science research organisations can drive transformational change within New Zealand’s Agri-Food science organisations.
The project focused on using participatory and speculative design methods to help stakeholders envision strategic futures and navigate sustainability transitions, aiming to reshape the sector's approach to long-term sustainability challenges.
-
Completed in November 2019 at Massey University, New Zealand
While studying Visual Communication Design, I discovered a passion for designing experiences and services, culminating in an A+ Honours project — a digital guidebook for student freelancers. Another key highlight was being accepted into the International Society of Typographic Designers for a graphic design project that pushed my technical skills and creativity.
Alongside my studies, I took on leadership roles as Class Representative, Massey Guide, and Hall Representative, supporting my peers and strengthening our student community. Motivated by a commitment to sustainability, I also founded and led the Generation Zero Club on campus.
-
January - December 2018 at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
I was awarded the Prime Minister’s Scholarship to Asia (PMSA) for a one-year student exchange to Singapore. While continuing my studies in Visual Communication, I developed a strong interest in contemporary art theory and history, which led to my selection as a student panellist on art history pedagogy at the Dhaka Art Summit in Bangladesh, focusing on alternative histories.
Skilled Volunteering
-
April 2025
As a facilitator at the Future Days 2025 Conference themed ‘Towards Symbiotic Futures’, I supported two workshop labs with industry partners:
In ‘Just-opia: Reimagining Prisons’, I worked with the UK Ministry of Justice, Futures Team, and GoScience to stress-test alternatives to incarceration.
In ‘Continent of Play’, in collaboration with 21st Europe, I helped imagine a future where play is protected and prioritised in policy and urban design for children.
My role centred on holding a safe space and guiding participants through a structured process for deep dialogue, collective dreaming, and strategic speculation to explore bold, systemic possibilities.
-
April 2019
I was a workshop facilitator for Shaping Art History at Victoria University, a co-design session aimed at reimagining the future of the art history programme.
I guided prospective students through structured activities designed to surface diverse perspectives, values, and aspirations. The insights gathered informed curriculum development and contributed to a more inclusive, attractive, and responsive vision for the department.
Professional Training
-
Explored how different operating models shape and enable effective service delivery. I gained practical insight into how organisational structure, governance, and capability models support both customer needs and strategic outcomes.
The course covered a range of delivery models, from shared services to agile pods and hybrid approaches. It helped me understand how to assess and design fit-for-purpose service delivery structures. I strengthened my ability to connect strategy with execution, ensuring that design-led transformation remains operationally viable and delivers measurable value.
-
Explored how Agile ways of working can drive meaningful change in digital service delivery. Through hands-on experience with Scrum, Kanban and Lean, I learned how to bring teams together, break down silos, and keep the focus on what users really need.
From sprint planning to retrospectives, the course helped me understand how to lead with flexibility, prioritise effectively, and continuously improve how services are designed and delivered.
-
I was selected for PwC’s Trail Finders Leadership Programme, an experience that enabled me to explore various leadership styles and deepen my own approach to leadership. Through hands-on challenges and reflection, I developed greater self-awareness and learned to navigate complex team dynamics.
This journey taught me to lead with empathy, adapt in challenging environments, and the power of soft influence.
-
To develop my coaching skills, I completed a foundational course covering active listening, powerful questioning, goal setting, and the GROW model. I built a toolkit of techniques to support different phases of development and learned to build trust, give constructive feedback, and facilitate meaningful conversations.
I applied these skills in daily interactions to foster a supportive and constructive work environment, especially during coaching sessions with junior team members.
-
I gained skills to recognise and respond to mental health challenges with confidence and compassion. I learnt how to provide practical support, break down stigma, and connect people to the help they need.
This experience deepened my understanding of mental wellbeing and strengthened my ability to create a supportive environment both at work and in the community.
